How You Can Help
There are many ways you can help!
1. Visit the website often! Keep up-to-date on our progress and remember us. Thank you!
2. Please pass a link to your family and friends and encourage them to pass it along. The more people who visit and read about us, and about Mike's inspirational life, the better chances we have of getting the help we desperately need.
3. Please donate one dollar ($1) to our fund. If we get even just 15,000 visitors who donate a dollar, we can halt the foreclosure proceedings by bringing my accounts current. But if we get more visitors who contribute a dollar, then Leah's future is secure in the knowledge that she has a home to live in and a place to be safe and comfortable.
4. Spread the word. Send a tweet or email to Ellen or Rosie or Oprah, your local newspaper or TV station, local radio stations, and local businesses. Publicity will only help!
5. Sponsor a match. Select a date that you like, select a dollar amount you're willing to match, and a time (For instance, February 5th from 10-11am, you'll match all donations up to a total of $500). This is great because it potentially doubles what you are willing to contribute. We hosted our first match on Friday, November 23rd and raised $70, which doubled to $140. We are so thankful to the generous donor who gave us that match and would gratefully accept more!
6. Contact CitiBank and Homeward America. Demand that they process my paperwork and give me a fair shake. Ask them to reach into their bags of millions and just forgive the debt. Be creative. Consider heading up a letter writing campaign that we can send out to our followers!
7. Sponsor a challenge. Click on our challenge tab above for more details.
With her father's death, Leah is anxious and scared much of the time. With my husband's death, the stress and anxiety of not knowing what's going to happen and where we are going to land is a huge burden. Your kindness and generosity would be much appreciated by us and our family. If everyone gave just one dollar, it would add up to exactly what we need. Thank you for considering us. We are so thankful.
